Spring Flowers

Springtime flowers were my focus for this season and I am quite happy with the flowers I have started.

Cloud has a spot in the garden right next to some amazing poppies and sage, one of his favorite spots and this had to be painted, he posed for me so well.

These lily pads in the Peace Garden at the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum has been hot enough for the lily flowers to bloom and with their dancing coy fish. Really excited for this lily pad painting, I love the reflections along with the colors of the lily pads with the sky reflections are breathtaking.

Red Hibiscus finally bloomed this year but only for a day when I had too many meetings and gave some folks a free show while on the Zoom call.

The rare red Folkenflame flower, has a better German name but these almost blood red flowers screamed to be painted in the spotted forest light & very very happy with how this came out.

Mission Meadow in Shasta city had a lone purple iris in a small ditch, screamed to me to paint it and I definitely couldn’t resist.
